The "Baan Thai"  traditional Thai House and Pavilion was designed by the famous Thai architect Dr. Pinyo Suwankari and is central to the "West meets East" theme of the authentic Thai spa experience at Echo Valley Ranch. Full time International resident estheticians and spa therapist qualified to perform complete beauty and health spa services. For centuries, Thai people incorporated many practices into their lifestyle, based on the ancient wisdom of traditional Thai medicine. In the western world, we would call the practices "Spa treatments" as spa has become the term used to define wellness of the mind, body and spirit. It is fascinating to discover that what we see as a new trend in the west has been practiced for centuries in Thailand as part of their "ancient wisdom". The following is just a sample of the treatments which make up the total "Thai Spa Experience", which can be enjoyed at Echo Valley Ranch and Spa.

Traditional Thai Massage: (90 minutes)
One of the oldest healing modalities in the world, developed over thousands of years, Traditional Thai Massage is a deep, full-body treatment that is both stimulating and relaxing. Pressure-point massage along the body's ten major energy channels or "sen" lines releases blocked energy, increasing awareness and vitality. Gentle stretching of the joints and muscles relieves tension, enhances flexibility, and induces a deep state of tranquility. Traditional Thai Massage is like nothing else in the world of massage - it must be experienced to truly appreciate its rejuvenating and healing benefits.

Thai Herbal Steam Bath: (10 minutes)
Thai people have used the Herbal Steam Bath for many centuries to improve general health, and speed healing. The combination of medicinal herbs in the Thai Herbal Steam Bath rids the body of toxins, while also improving circulation and respiratory function, relaxing muscles, reducing stress and stimulating weight loss. The Thai Herbal Steam Bath can be enjoyed on its own, or as a prelude to any of the other Thai treatments or treatment packages.

Luk Pra Kob Hot Compress Massage: (90 minutes)
A blend of many herbs, including plai, ginger, turmeric and cumen, wrapped in cotton and placed over steam, the luk pra kob has been used for many centuries in Thailand as a hot compress, for the relief of pain and inflammation, and to soften and nourish the skin. The Luk Pra Kob Hot Compress Massage begins with a detoxifying Thai Herbal Steam Bath, followed by a gentle scrub to remove surface impurities. Then the luk pra kob is applied, along with herbal massage oils, to relieve muscular aches, painful inflammation and bruises, nourish the skin and soothe the underlying connective tissues.

Traditional Thai Foot Massage: (30 minutes)
Another staple of traditional Thai medicine, an ancient healing system developed over thousands of years in Thailand, Traditional Thai Foot Massage is a uniquely invigorating and relaxing experience. Gentler than Chinese reflexology, to which it is often compared, Traditional Thai Foot Massage works the pressure points in the foot to free up the flow of energy, and relieve stress throughout the entire body. A cooling herbal massage lotion stimulates the senses, and enhances the feeling of total relaxation.

Thai Facial: (75 minutes)
Thai facials incorporate gentle cleansing, exfoliation and hydration without extraction. The treatment includes a skin-healing mask comprising of a series of cooling and soothing natural herbal ingredients. Like all other Thai spa treatments, only the hands are used. The absence of the use of machines makes for a very relaxing and soothing experience.

Thai Treatment Packages  In a gracious, nurturing "Thai Spa", it is not uncommon for treatments to last for three hours, or even longer! The extended time for attentive care allows the body, mind and spirit to absorb the full benefits of the therapeutic experience. The Thai Face and Body Ritual: (3 hours or longer)
Beginning with a one-hour Thai Herbal Steam Bath to soothe tensions, this treatment combines the relaxing benefits of a body massage with the nourishing effects of a Thai facial. A blend of essential oils is first massaged into the body using Thai massage techniques to stimulate the flow of energy and release toxins. The massage is then followed by a Thai facial complete with exfoliation, cleansing, moisturizing, and a heavenly facial massage!

The Luk Pra Kob Rejuvenation Ritual: (2 hours)
This healing ritual is ideal for those suffering from chronic tension, soreness, or inflammation. The regimen begins with a traditional Thai Herbal Steam Bath to prepare the body and mind for the nurturing spa therapy to come. A gentle body scrub follows to remove any surface impurities and reveal fresh, luminescent skin. The refreshed skin is then treated to the Luk Pra Kob Hot Compress Massage-as a blend of therapeutic herbs, wrapped in cotton is steamed and applied to the skin along the "sen" lines of the body.

Thai Signature Wellness Ritual: ( 3 ½ hours)
The Thai Signature Wellness Ritual is perfect for those who have never been introduced to Thai herbal therapies and would like to sample the unique finesse and flair of a genuine Thai spa! Beginning with a Thai Herbal Steam Bath to soothe tensions, this nurturing regimen is followed by a Thai Aromatherapy Facial-an eight-step regimen of specially-blended Thai herbal preparations which are massaged into the skin to refine the complexion and clear the mind. The body is then treated to the Luk Pra Kob Hot Compress Treatment to nourish the skin, and soothe underlying tissues.

The package is topped off with a one-and-a-half hour Traditional Thai Massage. Starting with a relaxing Thai Herbal Steam Bath, this heavenly regimen features two full hours of Asian Fusion Oil and Hot Compress Massage. Working methodically around the body, one master massage therapist applies plai oil to the skin, along the "sen" lines of the body to release blocked energies, while the other applies the Luk Pra Kob herbal pack to areas of need to relieve deep tissue soreness and inflammation.

Horseback riding at Echo Valley 
Echo Valley is home to over 40 Tennessee Walking Horses, these horses are famous for their smooth gait and are excellent for all levels of riders. Numerous and various trails surround the ranch offering one to six hour rides. Novice riders can enjoy a two-hour trail ride to the "look-out". Advanced riders can take a packed lunch and ride the range all day. Terrain covered includes wooded trail rides and alpine meadows, with steep as well as level riding conditions. A full size riding arena is available for horseback riding lessons and special clinics at an extra charge.

Tennessee Walking Horses love attention and they love people! Know for their "Glide Ride", the specific diagonal placement of each foot offers a smooth, easy ride whether enjoying the flat foot walk, the running walk, or the rocking chair canter.

ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE AT ECHO VALLEY :                       

The Dove Lodge is of log construction with six guest bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms and spectacular views. All guest dine in the Dove Lodge which has an elegant dining and sitting area, games room, sauna and outdoor hot tub. The lodge constructed of large logs that are over 100 years old.   Lookout Lodge The Lookout Lodge has nine large bedrooms with four piece ensuite bathrooms, including bathtubs. Four bedrooms have lofts. All bedrooms have king-size beds that can separate into two double beds. The lodge has two common sitting areas and out door decks that surround the building. Seven of the bedrooms have outside balconies.    Romantic/Honeymoon Log Cabin A secluded log cabin with four poster bed and three piece bathroom. The sitting area has a fireplace and overlooks an expansive view with a creek. Outside on the private deck you will find your own Jacuzzi hot tub  Two Cabins with private bedroom, four piece ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, sitting area with fireplace, loft and private deck

Canyon Hike This very unique hike commences in the forest of the Edge Hills park and finishes at the base of the Fraser Canyon in amongst the sage brush and cactus! Mountain Biking   Exploring one of the many trails that Echo Valley has to offer  Bird Watching and Falcon Training  bird watching with resident naturalist, including falcon training.

FLIGHT SEEING 1 Hour flight over rolling grassland and back down the Fraser Canyon

WHITE WATER RAFTING 4 Day rafting trip down the Chilcotin and Fraser Rivers in Combination with a ranch stay - only if there is a group of eight people or more.

GOLF 1/2 day or whole days.  Echo Valley offers guests a unique golfing excursion to the beautiful town of Lillooet, a scenic 40-minute flight from the ranch.  - Guests are then transported by car to the "Sheep Pasture Golf Course". The name is not figurative.  Local ranch owner David Jones created the 9-hole, par 35, 2722-yard course, which is part golf course, part working sheep ranch. The sheep aren't the only hazards. There are creeks on the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th holes. Golfers are advised to bring plenty of balls. Clubs are available for rent.   The full-day golf packages include return flight from EVR, transportation to the course, and green fees for either 9 or 18 holes. Golf club rentals are additional.
