not be enough and you will find yourself making plans to return another time.
Day 1 Salt Lake City/Red Lion Hotel
Downtown
15 miles airport to town
Salt Lake has more to offer then you might imagine. The Great Salt Lake from which it gets it’s name to the West, mountains to the east that offer winter visitors some of the finest powder snow in the States. There may only be time to collect your car and head for the hotel today as flights arrive in the evening.
Day 2 Salt Lake City/same
50 miles area touring
The Mormon influence has created admiral buildings of all shapes and sizes. If you arrive on a Saturday, a trip to the Tabernacle on Sunday to hear the choir is an unforgettable experience. Visit the Beehive House, home of Brigham Young, one of the founders of the Mormon movement. The Mormon Genealogy Centre is also well worth a visit if you are looking for information about your ancestors.
Day 3 Bryce Park/Bryce View Lodge
275 miles
Today
you are on your way south to one of the most popular areas in Utah. On a very
quiet day you can hear Bryce slowly falling to pieces ! The work of the elements
creates millions of rock shards which fall like gentle rain. Your accommodation
is right outside the Park gate.
Day 4 Zion/Driftwood Lodge (Springdale)
100 miles
To the west of Bryce is another gem. Wind and water have sculpted rock formations and rivers have carved gorges. This is a hikers Park with few roads. So be prepared to hit the trail to view more outstandingly beautiful vistas. As accommodation within the Park is fairly limited, Springdale is just outside and to the south.
Day 5 Page/Quality Inn 125
miles
On the way to Page, take the road from Kanab and see the Vermillion Cliffs. Page is at the bottom of the Glen Canyon and Lake Powell. Here boats are almost as common as cars, houseboats in particular. A trip on the Lake is a great adventure to see wind worn rock formations and natural arches. This is one place you may well want to spend more time at when next you visit.
Day 6 Monument Valley/Goulding’s Lodge
175 miles
This part of the States will be more than familiar to Western film buffs, John Wayne & John Ford used these areas to make many movies. Gouldings is set in the Navajo Homeland and from here you may book tours down into the bottom of Monument Valley. This is an unforgettable experience, the scenery is quite breathtaking.
Day 7 Moab/Ramada Inn

For a small town, Moab is one of the most important put-in points for Colorado River rafting companies. Surrounded as it is by numerous Parks, you may want to consider hiking, biking, 4 x 4 tours. Nearby are Canyonlands and Arches, this little town packs an adrenalin punch for those who like adventure.
Day 8 Moab/same 100 miles area touring
Sadly, you probably will not have time to do everything that Moab has to offer but you must see Delicate Arch or maybe an aerial tour over Canyon Country. You may even fit in a half day rafting trip.
Day 9 Torrey/Wonderland
200 miles
Torrey is a small community at the West Entrance to the Capitol Reef National Park. which has one route through the middle, but many people will use jeeps and ATV units to visit other more remote area of this long and skinny park.
