SWEETGRASS RANCH MONTANA
This is a charming family run working cattle ranch that takes in guests. It is secluded in the Crazy Mountains of south central Montana. The ranch sits 6100 feet and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Here they raise Angus cattle and horses. A stay at the ranch is what you make of it, you can ride into the high alpine meadows or across rolling foothills. Morning afternoon or all-day rides can be arranged - or bareback for the adventurous.
Throughout the summer cattle work goes on, either moving them from one meadow to another or just checking all is well with the herd - give us a call to check the dates.. Trips can be arranged to ghost towns, museums, Indian Ceremonials, Yellowstone Park and rodeos. Open June to September Sunday - Sunday.
Cabins nestle along the Sweet Grass, so you can hear the creek in the evening, along with owls and coyotes. Accommodations range from small rustic log cabins without bath to rooms in the main ranch house to larger, framed family cabins with private baths and plenty of hot water.
