SPIRIT WAGON TRAIN ADVENTURES FOR WOMEN ONLY WYOMING -
This 2 night, 3 day weekend WOMEN'S RETREAT run in July & Aug 2008, alternatively a weekly schedule below listed below Combines wellness and healing information, personal time, historical wagon train experience, camping and relaxation, great food over an open campfire and overall fun Nearest town Casper, Wyoming, USA , Cost per person : £400pp plus service charge to be paid locally , Extra return flight to Casper
Guests must bring western attire and 1800's authentic clothing is encouraged. Lots of film, flashlight, bedroll and sleeping pad must be brought. Rental of such items is available at a cost. This is an all women’s wagon train. Teamsters will include women and men. You'll get to relax, see some great country, journal on your time and put your feet in the cool, clear water. You can see the stars at night and you'll sleep peacefully in your range teepee. There is a wonderful balance between travel on the trail and camp time. Guest Capacity 12, Elevation 7,600; Horseback Riding ; yes - Horses available for lease @$150 per day. Horses may be shared by more than one person. Accommodation : One night at Willow Creek ranch. Nights on the trail you'll spend in 8x8 range teepees.
Meals : Hearty western fare served on tin plates. The coffee is strong and hot, salads fresh. If you want soda, bring it, same as alcohol. Drinking lots of water is mandatory. It’s very important to get hydrated and stay hydrated.
What to Pack : One soft sided duffel bag. If you need more than that you're on the wrong trip. Wildlife viewing : Eagle, Deer, Antelope, Snakes, Elk, Rabbit, Mountain Lion What to Bring : Walking shoes as you are expected to talk alongside the wagons, sunscreen and lip balm, lotion, flashlight, sleeping bag and pad. Jacket for evenings, boots if you ride. Rain gear or poncho, lots of film and camera. Cowboy hat with stampede string. All personal hygiene items. Extras : Hiking, Drumming, Photography, Group Discussion, Massage, Singing, Story Telling
ITINERARY : Day 1: Arrive in Casper and tour the Historic Trail Center and Fort Caspar (fees not included in package price), Arrive Camp (5697 S 12 Mile Road, Casper, WY). Get settled into personal teepee. At 4:30 pm we depart for the Spiritriders Chuckwagon Jamboree (Hampton Inn) for chuckwagon dinner, wagon ride and great entertainment. Come back to camp and sleep in wonderful and relaxed quiet. |

Day 2: The donkey and mules hee haw around 7 am (sometimes earlier), up for a wonderful dutch oven breakfast, fruit...take a run or walk if you like and then we'll depart for a wagontrain ride to historic Avenue of Rock. Enjoy lunch and see the actual wagon ruts that 350,000 pioneers traveled over. Return to camp and enjoy a relaxed social/happy hour with BYOB. You'll sleep well after some great campfire cooking, singing and entertainment. |

Day 3: Breakfast, Martha and Mikel share wellness information. Both women offer unique and valuable material on healing, balance and intentional living. Given the passion that each woman brings to her craft, this weekend promises surprise, adventure, fun and learning

Day 1:
Arrive in Casper and go to Willow Creek Ranch You'll be taken to this remote working cattle and horse ranch. Be sure to get all you need while in Casper because the nearest grocery story is far from here. Enjoy a hearty western evening meal and go to sleep where the silence is lovely.BYOB. You'll sleep well after some great campfire cooking, singing and entertainment. |

Day 2:
Wagons Ho! You've got your gear and are headed to Cassidy camp. This camp is lovely with a great stock pond for the horses and mules. Great hiking in this area with lots of big miles. |

Day 3:
Travel to Piney Top You can see for 200 miles from this camp. View the lights of Casper and see stars that you didn't know existed. Set you teepee among the pines and relax to your hearts content. The pull to this camp is a challenge for the teams and they’re up for it! |

Day 4: Hole
in the Wall Camp You’ll travel 20 miles today and get to experience what the pioneers did except you have a cooler of good water. This camp is beautiful, remote, historic and the travel there is unsurpassed. A wide-open space does not describe the journey |

Day 5:
Back to Willow Creek and Casper You've experienced the wide open spaces and lure of the old West. You've seen things that few people do; an eagle circling at dusk, the eerie howl of a coyote at night and now it's time to tell all your friends about your experience. |
